Jacob Alden Sargent is Director of User Experience in Information Technology Services (ITS). Jacob earned his BA in Music and Sociology from Bates College and his PhD in Sociology from the University of Virginia. He's published articles on gender, labor, and technology and taught courses at ÆßÉ«ÊÓƵ on the history of liberal arts education and on gender identities. He brings his background in sociology, music, and pedagogy to ÆßÉ«ÊÓƵ where he collaborates with the ITS team to offer proactive, accessible, learning-oriented support services to students, staff, and faculty.
